New GeeXboX
Just finished building my new HTPC. Is just a very simple one running GeeXBoX..
The last one was a pentium 900 mhz squeezed into an old amp case that I found on the side of the road (curbside collections rock!!!) and that lasted over four years without any problems beside slight overheating in very hot weather. Decided to build a new one only for athestic reasons (Nao said the old one was very ugly and had to go!).
I used an old IBM desktop case, and cut it up and welded(yes with my mig!!) together with different bits from other cases to fit a full size mainboard that I had sitting around. It is now a Pentium 4, 2.66mhz with 1GB of ram, Geeforce 4800Ti, 3com ethernet card and netgear wireless card, 500gb IDE and DVD reader. I bought a few bits and peices from pccasegear online (power switch etc) and I think the result is pretty neat...
Anyways BFN
