Work on the new house has begun!

Started work on the house two days ago by installing a new side door. Heavy... An external solid core door from M&B Doors, took me almost all day to install(and two days to recover..). The old door had really taken a good weathering over many years and was dire need of replacement. I also fitted a new Gainsborough Dead lock door handle. Yesterday I mowed the front lawn, and today I mowed the back and begun whipper snipping(neighbour Phil did some mowing to, thanks mate!). Also began work inside by filling holes and sanding walls, and arranged an asbestos removal man to quote on removing the asbestos from the kitchen and bathroom. On top of that I also moved the first trailer load of possesions from the rental in Bullsbrook to the new house in Kalamunda. Oh, and I submitted an aplication for a building license to build my shed (6x9x2.6). Also forgot to do the extra paper work because the proposed shed is over normal wall height (2.4m) and pay the extra fee ($126) and recieve adjoining neighbour forms so that I can ask the neighbours if they object to my shed, hoping that they dont...:) Phew!
Thats enough for now!! Tomorrow we go shopping for stuff...for the house...

Later...Slippery

Got that car yard feeling...

Yep it's time for a new car... :)

I am addicted to browsing for cars. I should form a self help group called, "Used Cars Anonymous" In the paper, online, ebay, frequenting car yards looking for a car that I can fuss over for a few weeks before I become bored with it, then start all over again.
Well this time I have been dry for one year.
For genuine family situational reasons, we really did need a second car, so as soon as Nao prompted a direction for my fiendish car searching frenzy I went to work. Two minutes later I had a car for her to inspect online, and the very next day it was ours.... :)

Here is the result....sorry for the bad pic but I am sure that you wont mind at all...or care very much...:)

I have already spent several hours fixing washing cleaning, even soldering dash switches...rust converting and painting....like I said it's an addiction...

Slippery.

Our new House in Kalamunda

Well after more than two years looking and praying, we have finally bought a house!!
It is a huge relief to actually get a house.

There were times that we thought we were just not meant to buy another house and that God had other plans, however as usuall it was just that we were looking in all the wrong places and strangley enough we found it in the last place we looked :)

We fully intend to make this our home for the rest of our lives. And indeed there is that much work required that I will be 67 by the time it is the way we want it. But really looking forward to the challange!!
